Pure Chamomile

From the foothills of the Himalayas

Organically cultivated in Bir

With Love

Our Chamomile is grown in our fields located in lovely little hamlet of Bir, in Himachal Pradesh. The hamlet is at an elevation of 5,000 ft (1500 meters) and hemmed by the majestic Dhauladhars that abruptly rise to 11,800 ft (3600 meters) forming a picturesque yet formidable wall to the north.

Blessed with clean mountain air and fertile land, our Chamomile is 100% organically grown without the use of any  any chemical insecticides or fertilizers, we use neem oil to repel pests and natural compost to provide our fields with nutrients.

The local Himachal women workers have quickly become a part of our extended farm family. Dedicated and hardworking, they are as passionate about the flowers as we are and tend to them with loving care.

We talk to to our plants and frequently play music as we sow and reap, filled with joy that uplifts our soul and connects us to the earth and its gifts.

Direct from our fields to your front door

With a personal touch, the fields are hand watered and every flower is hand picked and carefully sorted. We slow-dry our herbs in cool shaded rooms, without any direct exposure to the sun or artificial dehydrating methods, taking utmost care to ensure that the delicate oils and flavours are preserved through the entire process.

Once dried, our flowers are sorted and packed, delivered directly to your home.

What about it's

BENEFITS?

Chamomile was first used by ancient Egyptians, as an offering to the sun god Ra and widely used for its calming and healing properties.

In modern times, Chamomile is the perfect antidote to our stressful lives with its anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, healing and sedative properties.

With a delicate warm floral note, Chamomile is a soothing relaxant that eases anxiety and induces deep sleep naturally.

Chamomile can been used as a digestive relaxant to treat gastrointestinal disturbances such as indigestion, motion sickness, anorexia, nausea and menstrual cramps.

Dried flowers can be powdered and applied to soothe slow-healing wounds, skin eruptions, infections and inflammations.

Through dried flowers, tincture and oils, our delicate Chamomile will infuse your senses with its calm healing touch.

Some ideas for infusion

Perfect to brew a cup of tea as a perfect bedtime ritual, our Chamomile can also be used to flavour your gourmet dishes.
Try infusing it in your cake batter or add it to your gin and tonic for a unique twist !

A perfect bedtime ritual

Boil water in a pot or kettle and turn off the heat

Use one tea-spoon of dried flowers per cup. Pour hot water over the flowers and let it brew for 6-7 minutes until it takes a lovely golden yellow colour

Strain out the flowers and enjoy the warm tea. Feel free to add honey if you like a bit of sweetness

It's also a good idea to use a single cup infuser that will keep your flowers brewing for longer as you refill your cup with hot water.

Thirst quencher for those summer days !

Brew a batch of chamomile tea and leave it in the fridge to cool down for a few hours

Add ice, mint leaves, lemon and honey to make a cool refreshing drink

A floral tinged delight for your sweet tooth

Mix the dried flowers in your cake batter and leave aside for half hour to let its aroma, flavour and color seep through.

Pick out the flowers and proceed to bake as usual. Bon apetit !

A naughty twist

Infuse some dried Chamomile flowers in Gin for 24hours, ideally a night before your party.

When you are ready for some fun, drain out the dried flowers.

Add tonic water and some lemon to the infused Gin and enjoy your delicately flavoured aromatic drink that also carries the sun-kissed golden yellow colour !
